About Tom Peterson

Tom Peterson has repaired flutes in the Chicago area for many years, and for many wonderful people. His first shop was in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago in 1975. After working at Brannen Brothers Flutes in Boston as a finisher he took a break but is now back doing repairs full time in downtown Chicago. The job of finisher involves the last 1/3 or so of making a fine flute, including final fit of keys, soldering of some parts, polishing, padding, and generally finishing the instrument for final delivery.

He is Straubinger and Muramatsu certified and is featured on the Brannen Brothers web site.
